The Berger Performing Arts Center is housed on the Tucson campus of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) and is located approximately 1 mile west of Interstate 10 on the north side of Speedway Blvd. The Berger Center is the largest building visible on the ASDB campus just west of Grande Avenue adjacent to Speedway Blvd. For security and traffic safety purposes, the Gate 3 entrance from Speedway has been permanently closed. To access our parking lot, (lettered A on the parking map) follow the event parking signs, proceed to the west end of the lot and turn north on Yucca Street. Gate 4 on Yucca Street is the entrance into our most convenient parking are (lot A.) In the event that the parking lot is full, our security staff will still allow handicapped patrons to be dropped off in this lot adjacent to the theater.
Once this west side parking lot is full, traffic is re-routed back to the east side parking lot, which is the first gated entrance just west of the Santa Cruz River. Signs on Speedway will direct vehicular traffic to the east
overflow parking lot (marked as lot C on the parking map.) Sidewalk signs point the way to the Berger Center across the campus from the east parking lot.
In the event of activities in the gym and lot C being unavailable, we then direct traffic to lots B and D, the high school lot and overflow parking areas (respectively.) Please refer to the parking lot map for a clearer delineation
of the parking areas if necessary.
We ask that patrons do not park in vehicle spaces that are blocked by cones because we have overnight employees who use those parking spaces.
